Character Design

Do you spend hours creating imaginative and unique looking characters? Do you enjoy the creativity of producing characters, vehicles, creatures, weapons and landscapes that no one has ever seen before? Do you crave the freedom of being inventive and original without being tied down to a monthly series? Then Legendary Press is looking for you.

We are looking for a freelance artist to serve as a character designer for a couple of projects that we have planned. Your art-style should have a “proto-typical” feel that can easily be mimicked by the pencillers working on the actual books; but also varied enough to set the tone, look and feel of unique and individual projects (please see penciller job postings for more details).

If you’ve got what it takes, please read through our submission guidelines and then submit your work for consideration. Please submit one-sheet / pin-up designs (head shot, action pose) of characters or full character profile designs (height, front, back, side standing pose), also include any designs of creatures/monsters, weapons or vehicles that you think will impress us and highlight your talent. Finally, we will contact you if we think you are a good fit for the projects we are currently working on. All submissions will be kept on file and you will be contacted in the future if we have a project that fits your specific talents.

Penciller Posting – Job 1

Are you inspired by martial arts movies with lots of fighting and action? Do you enjoy drawing mystical creatures and sexy babes? Then this is the book for you.

Legendary Press is looking for a penciller in the style of Udon’s Street Fighter series and Capcom’s SFIV (new ink brush style). This comic takes place in 1850’s China and revolves around a demon who has been banished from Earth for over 2 centuries and a 21 year old orphan raised in a monastery searching for his destiny. What wil happen when their paths intersect?

Penciller Posting – Job 2

Legendary Press is looking for a penciller for a new comic book. The story can be described as Alias (the TV show) meets Indiana Jones crossed with a little bit of Lost and sprinkled with some X-Files. This will be a team-based action adventure series with high-tech weapons, gadgets and vehicles.
We are looking for a penciller that captures the look and feel of WildC.A.T.S., Vol. 1 (Lee / Charest), but with enough creativity and imagination to bring a unique look all their own to the book.
